'Squid Game Season 2' Won Ji An will reportedly lead a new rom-com K-drama with Park Seo Joon
The production for the second season of A Shop for Killers is officially confirmed.
On December 31, media outlet Star News announced that Disney+ has confirmed the production of A Shop for Killers Season 2. According to reports, the filming of the new season will begin in April 2025. However, there is no confirmation yet on the official cast of the new season.
A Shop For Killers premiered in January 2025 and it easily became one of the most popular K-dramas released by Disney+ this year.
The director of the K-drama also hinted at Disney+ Content Lineup Media Day that he is planning for a new season but it will be difficult to confirm. Eventually, the production of the second season is officially confirmed.
A Shop for Killers will be the fourth original Disney+ K-drama to have a new season.
A Shop For Killers was led by Lee Dong Wook, Kim Hye Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, Park Ji Bin, Geum Hae Na, Jo Han Sun, Lee Tae Young, Kim Min, and more.
The K-drama showcased the survival of Ji Ahn (played by Kim Hye Joon), the niece of Jeong Jin Man (played by Lee Dong Wook) who operates a mysterious shopping mall. After Jeong Jin Man was declared dead, Ji Ahn was left alone at her uncle's house and became the target of suspicious killers. The story was depicted from the novel of the same name by Kang Ji Young.
A Shop For Killers was created by director Lee Kwon (Shut Up: Flower Boy Band) and Ji Ho Jin (When Time Stopped).
The K-drama premiered on January 17, 2025. The series had a total of 8 episodes.
The premiere date of A Shop For Killers is not yet confirmed. The K-drama will exclusively premiere on Disney+ worldwide.
