Ahn Bo Hyun receives an offer to lead the upcoming K-drama Haesi's Shinru.
On October 12, media outlets reported that Ahn Bo Hyun is the next actor to receive the offer for the main lead role of the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Haesi's Shinru.
Ahn Bo Hyun's agency FN Entertainment responded to the casting news. The agency told media outlet My Daily, "Ahn Bo Hyun did receive the offer to lead Haesi's Shinru but nothing has been decided yet. The actor is still reviewing it."
If Ahn Bo Hyun decides to join the upcoming series, this will be his first time leading a historical K-drama.
Next year, Ahn Bo Hyun will be leading the upcoming series Chaebol X Detective with Park Ji Hyun, Kang Sang Jun, and Kwak Shi Yang. The actor will also lead the upcoming movie 2 O’Clock Date with Girls Generation's Im Yoon Ah, Sung Dong Il, Joo Hyun Young, and Go Geon Han.
Ahn Bo Hyun will also be part of the star-studded film Noryang: Deadly Sea which will premiere in December of this year.
Haesi's Shinru will adapt its story from the popular webtoon of the same name. It was written by Yoo Yi Soo (Love in the Moonlight) and she will also be the one to create the script for the upcoming K-drama.
The K-drama will showcase the love story of a crown prince who is a genius scientist who adores the stars and a mysterious woman who sees the future. The drama is set in the Renaissance of Joseon, the reign of King Sejeong.
Ahn Bo Hyun got the offer to play the role of crown prince Lee Hyang, the genius scientist.
Previously, actor Kim Seon Ho received the offer to lead the series but the casting eventually fell through. This is not the first time that a project has been offered to both Kim Seon Ho and Ahn Bo Hyun. Back in 2021, Kim Seon Ho was confirmed to lead 2 O’Clock Date but because of an issue, Ahn Bo Hyun became the replacement.
