Actor Bae Hyun Sung is in discussion to join the Korean remake of the Chinese series Go Ahead.
On October 20, it was reported that Bae Hyun Sung will be joining Hwang In Youp and Jung Chae Yeon in the upcoming K-drama A Prefabricated Family.
According to reports, Bae Hyun Sung will portray the main character Kang Han Joon.
If Bae Hyun Sung confirms his casting, this will be his second upcoming K-drama. The actor is also set to star in the two seasons of the Netflix original K-drama Gyeongseong Creature led by Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Kim Su Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, Jo Han Chul, and Wi Ha Joon.
In 2023, Bae Hyun Sung led the K-drama Miraculous Brothers with Jung Woo.
Bae Hyun Sung made his acting debut in 2018. He has starred in several popular K-dramas such as Extraordinary You, Hospital Playlist, Our Blues, Gaus Electronics, and more.
A Prefabricated Family will tell the story of three people who are not related to each other, and spend their teenage years relying on each other. They will reunite after 10 years and the series will showcase the family love, romance, and friendship among the three. This will be the Korean remake of the 2020 Chinese series Go Ahead led by Tan Song Yun, Song Wei Long, and Zhang Xin Cheng.
Bae Hyun Sung got the offer to portray the character Kang Han Joon. He shared his teenage years with Yoon Joo Won (played by Hwang In Youp) and Kim San Ha (played by Jung Chae Yeon).
The Chinese series also became popular in Korea. Many are already anticipating how the Korean remake's story will unfold.
The release date and broadcast channel of A Prefabricated Family have not been revealed yet.
