Cho Byeong Kyu will reportedly lead another upcoming K-drama.
Despite the controversy that Cho Byeong Kyu is facing for several years now, the actor is receiving a lot of offers for new K-dramas.
On July 31st, media outlets reported that Cho Byeong Kyu received another offer to lead a K-drama titled Saeraenadae (romanized title).
Cho Byeong Kyu's agency HB Entertainment responded to the casting reports through Maeil Economic Star Today. According to them, Cho Byeong Kyu did receive the offer to lead the upcoming historical K-drama and he is currently reviewing it.
Saeraenadae is set in a virtual Joseon and it will tell the romance story of the prince of Joseon who wants to escape from the nation and find happiness, and a maiden who came from a poor family, who aims to be happy by becoming successful in the country.
Cho Byeong Kyu got the offer to play the role of Park Yeong. He is the prince of Joseon who disguises himself as unemployed.
There is no news yet on which actors will possibly join Cho Byeong Kyu in the upcoming K-drama Saeraenadae.
If the actor accepted this upcoming K-drama, this will be his second upcoming project. Cho Byeong Kyu will also star in the upcoming series History of Losers with Song Ha Yoon and Jung Ji Woo.
Just last weekend, Cho Byeong Kyu made his grand comeback to the small screen with the K-drama The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch. He is currently working alongside Yoo Joon Sang, Kim Se Jeong, Yeom Hye Ran, Ahn Suk Hwan, and Yoo In Soo.
After the success of The Uncanny Counter in 2020, Cho Byeong Kyu faced bullying controversy. With this, he hasn't starred in any K-dramas for the past three years.
