Choi Hyun Wook has officially stepped down for the upcoming K-drama I Am Against My Romance.
On October 16, media outlets reported that Choi Hyun Wook will no longer appear in the upcoming K-drama I Am Against My Romance. where he and Go Min Si are both in talks.
Choi Hyun Wook's agency Gold Medalist shared their official side regarding the circulating news. They said, "Choi Hyun Wook received the offer to lead I Am Against My Romance. After checking, the actor politely declined the offer because it didn't match his schedule."
I'm Against My Romance will be the latest work of famous director Lee Eung Bok, known for creating the K-dramas Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, Dream High, and more.
The upcoming K-drama will revolve around two past lovers who agreed to be together again. As they return as lovers, the two will rediscover if it is still the continuation of the relationship they are already familiar with, or if they are starting a new relationship they are unfamiliar with. The series will tell the reality of when each other's first love reunites once again.
There are no reports yet on who will pair up with Go Min Si as a replacement for Choi Hyun Wook in I'm Against My Romance.
Meanwhile, Choi Hyun Wook is currently starring in the hit tvN K-drama Twinkling Watermelon with Ryeoun, Seol In Ah, Shin Eun Soo, Kim Joo Ryoung, and Bong Jae Hyun.
Choi Hyun Wook will also star in the soon-to-air KBS K-drama High Cookie and will work alongside Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Mu Yeol, Jung Da Bin, Seo Bum June, and Chae Seo Eun.
There are no other confirmed upcoming projects for Choi Hyun Wook after his two K-dramas this year.
