Choi Woo Shik will reportedly star in his first-ever Disney+ original K-drama.
On August 7, media outlets reported that Choi Woo Shik has been chosen to lead the upcoming Disney+ original K-drama titled The Walking (tentative title). It was also reported that the new series will be the next project of director Kim Tae Gon.
Choi Woo Shik's agency shared their side, "It is one of the works that has been offered to Choi Woo Shik and the actor and is currently reviewing it."
If Choi Woo Shik decides to join the new K-drama, this will be her follow-up project after the upcoming K-drama Melo Movie. The actor will first star in Netflix's original K-drama and then will move to Disney+ next.
Early this year, Choi Woo Shik led the Netflix original series A Killer Paradox with Son Suk Ku, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Yo Han, Lee Joong Ok, and Choi Sun Woo. He also appeared in the star-studded film Wonderland.
Choi Woo Shik is known for being part of the works Our Beloved Summer, Fight for My Way, Ho Goo's Love, Time to Hunt, Parasite, The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, and more.
The Walking will revolve around an organization that manages giants and another organization that confronts them.
The new K-drama will be helmed by director Kim Tae Gon who is known for creating the hit film Project Silence. According to reports, Climax Studio will produce the new series and the filming will begin soon.
Choi Woo Shik got the offer to portray the role of Jun Ho. He lives faithfully while cleaning a freezer but one day, he happens to have a huge stone that gives him amazing power but also because of the stone, he gets caught up in the organization.
The Walking will reportedly premiere in the first half of 2025.
