"Doctor Cha" actor Song Ji Ho joins the cast of "Lovely Runner"

Actor Song Ji Ho will be joining Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon in the upcoming K-drama Lovely Runner.

On February 26, Song Ji Ho's agency, the actor will be starring in the upcoming tvN's Monday-Tuesday K-drama  Lovely Runner. 

This will be his first project for 2024. Last year, Song Ji Ho appeared in the hit K-drama Doctor Cha. He portrayed the role of Seo Jong Min, the eldest son of Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul's characters. He also showcased good romantic chemistry with former Gugudan member Jo Aram in the series. 

Song Ji Ho made his acting debut in 2013. He has starred in various works such as Never Give Up, You Are My Spring, Stranger, Search: WWW, Age of Youth, Night Flight, Friend 2, and more. 

Lovely Runner will tell the story of Im Sol, a devoted fan who was in despair because of the death of her idol, Ryu Seon Jae. After the death of her idol, she experienced a miraculous twist of fate. She got the chance to return to 15 years ago and met the 19-year-old high schooler, Ryu Seon Jae.  The story will be depicted from the web novel created by Kim Bbang. 

Aside from  Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, the K-drama will be led by N.Flying's Lee Seung Hyub, Song Geon Hee, and  OMEGA X's Yang Hyuk. 

Song Ji Ho will portray the role of King. He is the brother of Kim Hye Yoon's character Im Sol. He is an aspiring actor but always fails at auditions. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of directors Boo Sung Chul, Yoon Jong Ho, Kim Tae Yeong, and writer Lee Shi Eun (True Beauty). 

Lovely Runner is set to premiere in April 2024. The K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes.
