Kang Tae Oh is possibly returning to the K-drama scene with a new romantic comedy series!
On March 18, media outlet OSEN stated that Kang Tae Oh has been picked to lead the upcoming K-drama Potato Research Center (working title). This will be his comeback work after being discharged from the military. According to the reports, the actor will begin filming right after finishing his military duties without a break.
Potato Research Center is a romantic comedy K-drama that will showcase the happenings at a research institute in a mountain valley.
Kang Tae Oh got the offer to portray the role of an outsider who has perfect visuals and unexpected charms.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next collaboration work of director: Kang Il Soo and writer Kim Ho Soo. The two have previously worked in the 2019 historical K-drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.
Potato Research Center will reportedly air in the first half of 2024.
This will possibly be the first project of Kang Tae Oh after rising to stardom through the hit 2022 K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
After being recognized in the ENA K-drama, Kang Tae Oh started his military duties in September 2022. After almost two years of service, Kang Tae Oh will finally be discharged from the military on March 19.
