f(x) Krystal got a casting offer for upcoming KBS2 drama "Police Academy"!
On March 9, industry insiders revealed that Krystal was offered to join the upcoming drama "Police Academy". Cha Tae Hyun and B1A4's Jung Jin Young are also in talks to lead the upcoming drama.
Krystal's agency H& Entertainment stated that the idol-actress is currently reviewing the offer to be part of the upcoming KBS2 drama "Police Academy".
"Police Academy" will depict the growth and romance of youth set in the Police Academy. Main lead Kang Sun Ho will get to know more about himself, his dreams and love through his friends and the professor in the academy, Yoo Dong Man.
The drama will be directed by Kim Young Jo, who also worked for the 2019 drama "Woman of 9.9 Billion". Reported cast alongside Krystal are Cha Tae Hyun, B1A4's Jung Jin Young and Lee Jong Hyuk.
Krystal with real name Jung Soo Jung debuted in the SM Entertainment k-pop girl group f(x). Aside from doing idol activities, Krystal also ventured into acting. She first appeared in "More Charming By The Day" and sitcom "High Kick! The Revenge of the Short Legged". She was then praised for embodying her character in the drama "The Heirs" starring Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye.
After years of participating in dramas, Krystal landed her first ever lead role in "My Lovely Girl" with world star Rain. It was then followed by other projects such as "The Bride of Habaek", "Prison Playbook", and "Player". She last starred in the 2020 JTBC drama "Search" with Jang Dong Yoon and Yoon Park. "Police Academy" will be her comeback drama if she accepts the casting offer.
Krystal parted ways with SM Entertainment in 2020 and she is currently signed as an actress at H& Entertainment.
