Former April member Lee Na Eun to officially resume her activities through the upcoming K-drama Chaebol X Detective.
On November 16, media outlets shared that Lee Na Eun will return from her hiatus and will challenge acting once again by participating in the upcoming mystery romance K-drama Chaebol X Detective.
Lee Na Eun's current agency Namoo Actors confirmed the news and revealed that the idol actress is confirmed to join the new series.
The agency also revealed that Lee Na Eun will be seen in the 9th and 10th episodes of the upcoming K-drama and she will portray the role of a celebrity.
Lee Na Eun made a hiatus in February 2020 after the bullying controversy of her K-Pop group April broke out. She was supposed to play the role of Pyo Ye Jin's character Ahn Go Eun in Taxi Driver. Due to the controversy, Lee Na Eun had to step down from the 2020 K-drama.
Her K-pop group April disbanded in January 2022 and Lee Na Eun signed to a new home. She became part of the actor management company Namoo Actors in June 2022.
This will be the grand comeback of Lee Na Eun to the entertainment industry after almost four years.
Chaebol X Detective will tell the story of an immature third-generation conglomerate that will join the police violent team as a detective.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration project of director Kim Jae Hong (Revenant and Through the Darkness and screenwriter Kim Ba Da (My Name).
It will be led by Ahn Bo Hyun, Park Ji Hyun, Kang Sang Jun, and Kwak Shi Yang.
Chaebol X Detective will premiere in January 2024 and it will exclusively premiere on SBS. The K-drama already began filming in the second half of 2023.
