Girl's Day Lee Hye Ri is reportedly starring in her first ever historical drama!
On February 16, media outlet Daily Sports reported that Lee Hye Ri will star in the upcoming historical drama titled "When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon" that was also recently offered to actor Yoo Seung Ho.
Lee Hye Ri's agency Creative Group ING responded to the reports and shared that the idol-actress is currently reviewing the offer for her casting.
"When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon" will be helmed by director Hwang In Hyuk, who previously worked on "Doctor Prisoner". The script for the drama will be written by Kim Joo Hee.
The drama is set in the Joseon period and it will narrate the story of three individuals with different backgrounds who will share their hidden secrets to each other.
Lee Hye Ri debuted as a member of girl group Girl's Day. While being an idol, Lee Hye Ri also actively participated on several dramas. After her contract expired with Dream T Entertainment, she's now promoting as an actress and she's also active in entertainment industry.
If the idol actress accepts this drama, this will be her second drama for 2021. Lee Hye Ri is also starring in the upcoming drama "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" with Jang Ki Yong and Kang Han Na. She's known for appearing in the dramas such as tvN's "Reply 1988" with Ryu Joon Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Dong Hwi and Park Bo Gum, MBC's "Two Cops" with Jo Jung Suk and Kim Seon Ho, "Entertainer", "Seonam Girls High School Investigators" and more.
"When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon" is set to premiere on KBS 2TV on the second half of 2021.
