Gong Hyo Jin was offered the female lead role for upcoming Netflix original series "Woman Of Crisis".
On February 9, media outlets reported that Gong Hyo Jin will be the main lead for the upcoming drama and she will play the role of a drama writer.
Gong Hyo Jin's agency Management Soop responded to reports and stated, "The actress received the offer for the upcoming Netflix original series and she is positively considering it".
If Gong Hyo Jin accepts the offer, she will play the role of Kim Ma Ri, a famous drama writer. Kim Ma Ri is known for writing makjang (crazy, intense and over the top plots) dramas. Her dramas usually have an average of 35 percent in viewership ratings. Kim Ma Ri lands broadcast date for her dramas easily with just her name.
"Queen of The Scene" will be directed by Lee Won Seuk who also worked for the drama "The Royal Tailor" and writer Kim Soo Ah.
If Gong Hyo Jin is confirmed to appear in the upcoming series "Woman Of Crisis", this will be her return to the drama scene since 2019's KBS drama "When the Camellia Blooms" with Kang Ha Neul. She also appeared in hit dramas such as "Jealousy Incarnate" with Jo Jung Suk, "The Producers" with Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun, "It's Okay, That's Love" with Jo In Sung, and "The Master's Sun" with So Ji Sub. She also starred in the 2019 movie, "The Most Ordinary Romance" with Kim Rae Won.
Every drama Gong Hyo Jin starred in has became a hit.
