Rising actress Ha Young is confirmed to join the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Doona!
It was officially confirmed on October 17 that Ha Young will be working closely with main leads miss A's Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong in the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Doona! Her agency Bicester's Entertainment also confirmed her casting.
Doona! will tell about the romance between an ordinary college student and a retired idol who unexpectedly lives in a shared house. The story will be depicted from the webtoon The Girl Downstairs created by Min Song Ah.
Aside from Bae Suzy, Yang Se Jong, and Ha Young, the K-drama will also be led by Park Se Wan, Kim Min Ho, and Lee Yoo Bi.
The upcoming youth romance K-drama will be the next work of director Lee Jeong Hyo who is known for creating the K-dramas Crash Landing on You, Romance Is a Bonus Book, Life on Mars, Because It's the First Time, Fashion 70's, and more.
Doona! will premiere on October 20 and it will exclusively air on Netflix. The series will be available in over 190 countries.
Ha Young will portray the character named Kim Jin Joo. She is known for her cute and innocent visuals. In the K-drama, she will be Lee Won Jun's (played by Yang Se Jong) soulmate in high school.
The actress made her acting debut in 2019 through the K-drama Doctor Prisoner. Since then, she has been active and starred in several K-dramas such as Chocolate, Soul Mechanic, Private Lives, Secret Royal Inspector, Mouse, Now, We Are Breaking Up, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, The Good Detective Season 2, and more.
Ha Young is also set to star in another upcoming Netflix original K-drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call led by Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Yoon Gyung Ho, and Jeong Jae Kwang.
