Hwang In Youp will be returning with a new K-drama next year.
On December 13, JTBC announced that the upcoming K-drama A Prefabricated Family will be led by Hwang In Youp, Jung Chae Yeon, and Bae Hyun Sung.
A Prefabricated Family will tell the youth romance of men and women who are not blood-related but spent their teenage years together just like a true family. After 10 years, the three will reunite and meet again for the first time. The story will be adapted from the HIT Chinese drama called Go Ahead.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Kim Seung Ho (Joseon Attorney: A Morality and Twenty-Five Twenty-One) and writer Hong Si Young.
A Prefabricated Family will officially premiere on JTBC and it will begin airing in 2024. The K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes.
In the K-drama, Hwang In Youp will portray the character named Kim San Ha. Kim San Ha suddenly left his childhood friends and after 10 years, he appears in front of them once again. This will be the comeback K-drama of Hwang In Youp after two years. He last starred in the 2022 K-drama Why Her?
Jung Chae Yeon will give life to the character named Yoon Joo Won. She is known for her positive and bright energy. She grew up with her father who runs a noodle restaurant and treats her friends Kim San Ha and Kang Hae Joon as real family. This will also be the comeback project of Jung Chae Yeon after two years.
Lastly, Bae Hyun Sung will portray the role of Kang Hae Joon. He treats Yoon Joo Won's family as his own and wants to repay their kindness to him. He is passionate about basketball. A Prefabricated Family will be his first K-drama for 2024. Before 2023 ends, Bae Hyun Sung will be starring in the Netflix original K-drama Gyeongseong Creature.
