Actor Jo Jung Suk spoke candidly about the sensitive topic of sexism portrayed in his upcoming K-movie Pilot.

An interview with actor Jo Jung Suk was conducted at a cafe in Seoul.

Pilot is a story about star pilot Han Jung Woo (Jo Jung Suk), who becomes unemployed after an incident. He then undergoes a shocking transformation and gets to work as a pilot again. Han Sun Hwa, Shin Seung Ho, Lee Joo Myung, and Seo Jae Hee also star in the comedy film.

In Pilot, Han Jung Woo makes a sexist remark about his female co-workers (flight attendants), calling them "flower bouquets". He lost his job after this incident was reported. After he gets hired as a pilot (secretly disguised as a woman), he begins to understand the perspectives of his female colleagues.

When asked, "Did you feel burdened by the lines?" the actor responded, "The character's conflicts, him overcoming them, and growing were fun. I think it's just an environmental setting where he has conflicts with other characters."

Regarding the sexist remarks made by the male lead, he added, "I did what was written in the script. It is certainly wrong behavior. I think that the act of reflecting on his actions is where Han Jung Woo has the potential to grow."

Pilot is set to be released on July 31. Watch the teaser here
