Joo Ji Hoon received the offer to be the main lead for the upcoming series titled "Dominant Species."
On June 23rd media outlets revealed that Joo Ji Hoon has been picked as the main lead of the upcoming drama "Dominant Species" that will be penned by writer Lee Soo Yeon ("Grid," "Stranger," and "Life.")
Joo Ji Hoon's agency H& Entertainment responded to the casting news. The company revealed that Joo Ji Hoon indeed received an offer and he is currently reviewing it.
"Dominant Species" will revolve around the story of superior genes and viruses in a world where food is taken as pills.
The broadcast details of the series are still under discussion.
If Joo Ji Hoon decided to accept the upcoming drama "Dominant Species," this will be his follow-up series after the 2021 tvN drama "Jirisan" with Jun Ji Hyun, Sung Dong Il, Oh Jung Se, Jo Han Chul, and Joo Min Kyung.
For this year, Joo Ji Hoon is booked with several upcoming films. He will star in the upcoming movies "Gentleman," "Hunt," "Silence," and "Along with the Gods 3."
Many are also hopeful that Joo Ji Hoon will lead a new special episode of Netflix's original series "Kingdom" just like Jun Ji Hyun's "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" wherein his story as a crown prince will be highlighted.
Joo Ji Hoon is known for being the main lead in the dramas "Hyena," "Kingdom," "Mask," "Medical Top Team," "Goong," and more.
The actor also dominated the movie scene with the films "Asura: The City of Madness," "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds," "Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days," "The Spy Gone North," and "Dark Figure of Crime."
