Vagabond ( 2019 )
Cha Dal Gun becomes an awakened tiger in the face of his nephew’s death in a mysterious plane crash. As an orphan himself, he had raised his nephew singlehandedly in place of his brother who had passed on. Triggered by the large-scale cover-up of the incident, he sets off on a journey to discover the truth. Go Hae Ri is the eldest daughter of a marine who had died during an operation. She has always wanted to be a normal civil servant to support her family, but life had other plans and she ends up as a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent. Their lives intertwine as they discover a tangled web of corruption behind the plane crash. |
Firstly, as am a huge fan of action series and films, this drama satisfied me a LOT! Elements such as conspiracy, betrayal, camaraderie, and yes, a touch of romance, made this series such a fun watch. There were a lot of scenes where I found myself on the edge of my seat, since the first episode, where we still have do not know the main characters and the story yet! |
The action scenes were highly-charged and well-acted, all the cast team had done an honorable job, the main roles as well as the support ones. The mind games were equally thrilling as well. The villains trying to up each other and the good ones doing their best to circumvent and prevent their evil schemes. I also loved how this drama had ended, it was a masterpiece !! I've never seen such an unexpected ending! |
Both of Lee Seung Gi and Bae Suzy had done such a wonderful job! They show us their powerful acting skills, in the action scenes as well as the emotional ones. They really made a huge effort to make the scenes look at this amount of realism. And we can see it obviously, almost in the touching and the romantic ones ( even though there are just a few romantic scenes but they were well acted ) |
Extracurricular (2020)
Extracurricular is a Netflix original series that follows a group of high school students who choose a life of crime and face the dangerous consequences that result from their choices. |
the drama was like an explosion in my mind! when I watched it, I couldn't stop thinking about the story, the characters ... I was like "how could teenagers do that? " "does this happen in our real life? " "This is what wrong decisions lead to. " Kim JinMin, the director said on an interview : “The second year in high school is a time when people start to make their own decisions about life and take responsibility for them. However, whether one’s intention was good or bad is yet unclear.” |
Unfortunately, for the characters in the series, their choices led them down dangerous paths, as they further become entangled in a life of crime.
The Character that I liked the most :
Choi Min Soo as Lee Wang Cheol [Man who helps Ji Soo commit a crime]
Also, Wang Cheol forced her to stop this illegal work and start over her life, and forget everything. but Min Hee didn't listen to his advice and continued it. | I sincerely fell in love with the character of Lee Wang Cheol. " A man of few words but with one hell of a temper. " His death left me sincerely with tears. Maybe, Extracurricular's watchers didn't notice but he was kind with a big heart and had affection for Min Hee's character. He helped her during her mental disorder caused by stress and panic that she traverse. |
Itaewon Class (2020)
I honestly fell in love with the story! It was full of charisma and fresh air. I loved the way that the story shines with love for family, love for friends, also self-confidence, and acceptance for different genders and races. Each character is well-written and realistic because of the vulnerability they possess. |
I also loved the fact that the drama gave a glimpse into racism in Korea forward black people. If you have watched this drama you'll obviously remember this scene in ep 8 where Toni is refused the entrance to the night club because of this nationality. " People from Africa and the Middle East can't enter". " I'm just following the rules " That's what the guard said! |
The Character that I liked the most :
Son Hyun Joo as Park Sung Yul [Sae Royi’s father]
Frankly, I loved the character of Saeroyi's father so much !! He was such a pure soul and a sweetheart. He resigned from his job, to atone for his son’s “misdeed", Dad’s love for his son was just so great and all-encompassing. |
And I felt vicariously grateful, that Dad was such an affirming person, with his heart in the right place, even admiring his son for having the guts to stand by his values. The father-son relationship was so touching and realistic especially when Dad stands by his son's side and defends him by resigning from his job in Jangga. |
Hospital Playlist (2020)
Hospital Playlist tells the story of doctors and nurses working at Yulje Medical Center. It focuses on five doctors who have been friends since they entered medical school in 1999. |
I really liked the friendship between the characters, the five friends who have stayed close with each other since attending medical school together 20 years ago and their bond is only getting stronger by time to the point that they can practically read each other’s mind and know each other like the back of their hands. The beautiful moments that they shared during 20 years, the funny moments that they passed together as well as the sad ones, making everyone wish to have a friendship this beautiful and deep. |
VOICE ( 2017 )
The story follows workers at a 112 emergency call center who have had family members murdered by a serial killer. While on the hunt for the killer, a “Golden Time” team is established to rescue crime victims in the golden window of time before they are likely to be killed. |
The drama is a very dark and gritty crime drama. It’s violent, bloody, and quite disturbing, but I really liked it so much! In addition to the different criminal cases that are rare in kdrama, the big secret that will be revealed during the sequence of events that will probably shock you. Also, the story is fast passed not like the boring action dramas that will be interesting just in the last episodes. |
Sincerely, there is no dull moment in this drama. It'll make you wish for a break or a time out, cuz the characters are always solving crime cases and always on the run. I sometimes want the lead characters to enjoy a meal or even end it once before they had a phone call telling them that something bad happened.
The Character that I liked the most :
I liked both of the lead characters without any favor. Both of them did such great work!
Min Jin Hyuk was such a great detective! He did his best to capture the serial killer. He is full of wretched misery and determination. The devotion he displays to his son, his deceased wife, his revenge, and his cases are unparalleled! |
Kang Kwon Joo has exceptional hearing which allows her to pick up on small things while on a call that helps the team find the victims. She and Min Hyuk eventually find themselves working together to catch the serial killer. |
I liked the way that the two characters are the opposite! Kwon Joo is fiercely determined to use her hearing and methodical planning to help others, although mild-mannered. Jin Hyuk is her opposite, with a firecracker temper and a tendency to act before he thinks. They are both good complements and foils for each other. I would’ve loved a little more intimacy in their working relationship. Not romance, but true intimacy, which could’ve been gotten through a few more shared meals or quiet seaside chats.
Crash Landing On You (2020)
This is OBVIOUSLY my best drama ever! I really appreciate this drama so much, I loved every single detail in it <3 but I will not talk about it because I've already written an article about things that I love about it.

5. KO DONG MAN & CHOI AE RA
Both Kim Ji Won and Park Seo Joon did such a great job to make this couple successful and full of charisma. Things that I love in this couple that they encourage each other to realize their dreams and pursue their passions. In addition to that, they were next to each other in times of need and difficulty |
The couple won the " BEST COUPLE AWARD " at the " 31st KBS Drama Awards " Also, they won the " BEST COUPLE AWARD " at the " KBS WORLD Global Fan Awards " |
4. HYUN TAE WON & RA EUN HO
How could I not love this cute, wonderful, and lovely couple !! I've loved watching the process of how Tae Won and Eun Ho fall in love, it was not that kind of forced romance at all !! The two of them supported each other a lot, especially Tae Won: He was a great supporter to Eun Ho. he supported her for writing her Webtoons and kept doing it! While she helped him reconcile with his best friend, whom communication was cut off due to an old quarrel. The special thing in this couple, that without any kisses or physical contact we really enjoyed the couple and the love between them !! |
3. PARK SAEROYI & JO YISEO
For this couple, I really appreciate the way that Yiseo supported Saeroyi so mush! She was that kind of girl that will do EVERYTHING for her partner !! " I will help you achieve your dream, Boss " " I love my Boss like crazy " Also, she crushed everyone who gets in their way (of dating as well as professional ) For Saeroyi, as he is a person with few words and also a shy one, he wasn't that expressive boyfriend, he just shows to Yiseo that he loves her without saying it frankly |
2. LONG FEIYE & HAN YUN XI
This is sincerely one of the best couples that I've seen! This couple shows us clearly how true love is! they never said to each other the simple word " I love you" to show that they love each other. I know it sounds bizarre, but they never said it once! |
The thing that I had obviously love in this couple, is the way that both of them were a huge supporter for the other. For them, loving someone is not just saying " I love you " or treating with sweetness. It's firstly a responsibility, as we can see in the drama the two of them were responsible for the other's actions, words.... and they were standing next to each other whatever the situation was!
1. RI JUNG HYUK & YOON SERI ( RiRi couple )
How can I turn a blind eye to this ordinary couple! It's also one of the best couples that I have seen, their story is out of the ordinary and a rare one in kdramas. How do you feel when the person you love is forbidden to visit or even to see him by law? that's what Seri and Jung Hyunk feel every day. |
I really liked the development of their relationship as it was reasonable. I loved the idea that they go from strangers who have no business with each other, to people who truly understand each other, and care for each other. Although there were many difficult and complicated times in their relationship, the events preceded reasonably well and not the kind of imposed event at all!
HERE WE COME TO THE END OF THIS ARTICLE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A LIKE AND A COMMENT TELLING ME ABOUT YOUR DRAMA YEAR, HOW WAS IT? AND IF WE HAVE COMMUNE DRAMAS THIS YEAR?
