The upcoming K-drama Blood Free starring Ju Ji Hoon and Han Hyo Joo is confirmed to be released in April.
On March 4, Disney+ released a teaser poster for the upcoming K-drama Blood Free. Through the poster, it was officially confirmed that the upcoming suspense thriller K-drama will premiere on April 10.
The upcoming series will be led by Ju Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, Kim Sang Ho, Park Ji Yeon, Jun Suk Ho, Jo Bok Rae, and more.
Blood Free will revolve around the reality behind a biotech company called BF which started the artificial cultured meat. It will also showcase how a retired military officer turned bodyguard intentionally approached the founder and the two will get caught up in mysterious deaths and incidents.
The K-drama will be the next masterpiece of writer Lee Soo Yeon who is also known for creating the K-dramas Grid, Life, and the two seasons of Stranger. Director Park Cheol Han will also join the production of the upcoming series.
Blood Free will have a total of 10 episodes and it will exclusively be available on Disney+ and Hulu.
Ju Ji Hoon will portray the role of Woo Chae Woon who was a former military officer but now works as a bodyguard. Han Hyo Joo on the other will portray the role of Yoon Ja Yoo, the founder and CEO of BF (Blood Free) Group which dominated the genetically engineered cultured meat market.
Lee Hee Joon will portray the role of Sun Woo Jae. He is the current prime minister and he aims to take control of the BF Group. Lee Moo Sang will portray the role of On San, the partner of Yoon Ja Yoo in founding the BF Group. They have been friends for over 20 years.
Kim Sang Ho will give life to the character named Kim Shin Goo. He is a biotechnologist who is the mastermind in the technology of artificially cultured meat. Park Ji Yeon will portray the role of Jung Hae Dun, the planning director of BF Group. Lastly, Jeon Suk Ho will portray the role of Seo Hee, the IT expert of the BF Group.
