On October 23, character stills of Ju Ji Hoon as Jung Won Yeong, the owner of the Light Shop, were unveiled.
Light Shop is a story that unravels when people with secrets visit a mysterious light shop, the only place that lights up the end of a dark alley.
In the K-drama, Won Yeong is the owner of a light shop that is always open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, welcoming mysterious guests who visit the store.
The character stills depict a moment when Won Yeong encounters a customer late at night at the light shop. The scene captures the tense moment that rattles him, who usually remains unperturbed in any situation. With sunglasses on and an expressionless face, he exudes heavy charisma.
The following stills show Won Yeong beginning to waver as he faces a strange situation unfolding outside the light shop in the pouring rain in the middle of the night.
Director Kim Hee Won shared, "I chose Ju Ji Hoon for the role of Won Yeong because I wanted to show a new side of him." Additionally, he mentioned, "To capture the character's aura, I designed the entire character, including his movements, expressions, and vocal tone," highlighting the effort put into developing the character.
Screenwriter Kang Full commented, "I am very satisfied [with the casting] because Ju Ji Hoon's unique solidity fits so well with Won Yeong."
Light Shop will air a total of 8 episodes. It will release four episodes on December 4, followed by two episodes each week for the next two weeks.
