The action thriller K-movie I, the Executioner surpassed 6 million moviegoers on its 15th day of its release.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for theater tickets, I, the Executioner attracted approximately 6,022,843 moviegoers on its 15th day of screening, September 27.
To commemorate the milestone of reaching the 6 million mark, a thank-you message from the actors was released. In the video, Jung Hae In parodies one of the famous lines from his character Park Sun Woo, "Can I respond aggressively if a dangerous situation arises?" In the video, Jung Hae In picks up a toy police car that stops right in front of him and asks, "Sunbae, can I respond aggressively to the 6 million viewers?" to which Hwang Jung Min enthusiastically replies, "Of course!" The cast then brings out balloons marked "6 million" and delivers a thank-you message to the audience.
The sequel to the 2015 domestic box office hit Veteran, I, the Executioner is an action-crime thriller about young Detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In) joining the violent crime investigation team and working with veteran Detective Seo Do Cheol (Hwang Jung Min).
I, the Executioner is currently not streaming on global OTTs.
