Jung Jae Kwang has been confirmed to be joining the upcoming TVING historical K-drama Queen Woo.
On August 1st, it was officially confirmed that Jung Jae Kwang will be added to the cast of the upcoming K-drama and will play the role of the King's brother.
This will be the first official K-drama of Jung Jae Kwang for 2024. This year, he starred in the K-drama My Perfect Stranger led by Kim Dong Wook, Jin Ki Joo, Seo Ji Hye, Lee Won Jung, Lee Ji Hyun, and Lee Kyu Hoe.
Jung Jae Kwang is also set to join the upcoming K-drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call with Joo Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Yoon Gyung Ho, and Ha Young.
The rising actor will also join the upcoming movie Hopeless and will work alongside Song Joong Ki, Hong Xa Bin, BIBI, Park Bo Kyung, and Kim Jong Soo.
Queen Woo will be the first time that Jung Jae Kwang will star in a historical K-drama.
Queen Woo is a political melodrama that will feature the life and journey of Lady Woo, the first ever woman in history to become a queen twice. After the death of King Gogukcheon, it has been announced that a new king should be hailed within 24 hours.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Mu Yeol, Ji Chang Wook, Jung Yoo Mi, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Park Ji Hwan.
Jung Jae Kwang has been given the role of Ko Gye Su. He is the youngest brother of Ji Chang Wook's character named Ko Nam Moo. He sincerely respects his older brother and is faithful to him. He is also known to be excellent in martial arts.
The upcoming series will be the next work of director Jung Se Kyo (Oh! My Gran and Like Father, Like Son) and writer Lee Byung Hak (The Royal Tailor).
Queen Woo is set to premiere in 2024 through the OTT platform, TVING. The upcoming K-drama will have a total of 8 episodes.
