Kang Gi Doong will be joining the upcoming JTBC drama "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate."
On May 24th media outlets reported that Kang Gi Doong will be added to the cast of the upcoming JTBC series "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate." He will be joining the main leads Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min.
Kang Gi Doong's agency Hunus Entertainment also confirmed the reports that the actor will be joining the drama.
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" is a drama by director Jeong Dae Yun ("She Was Pretty") and writer Kim Tae Hee ("Sungkyunkwan Scandal").
The upcoming series will base its story on the web novel of the same name by San Gyung. It will tell the story of a man who worked as a secretary to a conglomerate family for 10 years but got betrayed and framed for embezzlement and eventually got murdered. He will then be reborn as the youngest son of the conglomerate family which will be the beginning of his revenge.
Kang Gi Doong will play the role of Jin Hyung Jun. He is the older brother of Song Joong Ki's character, Jin Do Joon. He is the third generation of the conglomerate family. He has no interest in making money and he only aims to be a rich unemployed man.
Other cast members of the drama include Shin Hyun Bin, Jo Han Chul, Kim Nam Hee, Park Ji Hyun, Kim Jung Nan, Tiffany Young, Kim Shin Rok, and more.
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" will exclusively premiere on JTBC. The drama will premiere in the second half of 2022. It will have a total of 16 episodes with an hour duration each.
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate"will be the second drama of Kang Gi Doong for the year. He will also join the upcoming series "The Police Station Next to Fire Station." He also made a special appearance in the ongoing drama "Sh**ting Stars."
