Kang Hoon is set to star in a new K-drama that will be released in 2024.
According to media outlet JTBC Entertainment on August 21st, Kang Hoon has been cast in the upcoming mid-form K-drama Scalpel Hunter.
Reports stated that the upcoming K-drama Scalpel Hunter will be produced by LG U+ and it will be released in the first half of 2024.
Kang Hoon's agency npio Entertainment responded to the casting news. According to the agency, Kang Hoon received the proposal and he is currently reviewing it.
Scalpel Hunter is a crime thriller K-drama that will showcase the story of a popular female jurist with antisocial personality disorder. She is currently suffering from the shadow of her father's death.
Kang Hoon will reportedly give life to the character named Jeong Jung Hyun. He is a police officer who believes that the nature of humans is good. He is passionate about solving cases and even takes charge of the work of the people who are bad at it.
Scalpel Hunter will be directed by Lee Jung Hoon. It will premiere in the first half of next year and will exclusively air on LG U+. The K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes.
Before Kang Hoon stars in Scalpel Hunter, the actor will first meet fans in the soon-to-air Netflix K-drama A Time Called You. He will be working with Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Been, Lee Min Goo, and Kim Yi Kyung.
Kang Hoon is also currently starring in the entertainment program Express Delivery: Mongolia Edition with real-life best friends Kim Jong Kook, Jang Hyuk, Cha Tae Hyun, Hong Kyung Min, and Hong Kyung In.
The actor was last seen in the historical K-drama The Secret Romantic Guesthouse.
