"Kill Bok Soon" Tops Netflix Charts, "Duty After School" Proves a TVING Hit

The action-crime flick Kill Bok Soon made it to the list of top movies on Netflix after its release on March 31. It has been ranking second for two consecutive days (April 1 and April 2). So far, the film has been receiving mixed responses from audiences. Only time will tell if the actioner is deemed worthy by critics of winning any international awards. 

Kill Bok Soon is an action-crime thriller that tells the story of a single mother who works a secret job as an assassin. The movie had a world premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival on February 18, 2023. Watch Kill Bok Soon on Netflix. 

Meanwhile, Duty After School ranked first in attracting paid subscribers in the first week of airing. Positive responses are pouring in for the teen sci-fi action series. 

Apart from mind-bending CGI and gripping plot, the performances of actors - playing the roles of students who are forcefully handed down guns and pushed to the battlefield to fight like real soldiers when their teenage innocence hasn't even worn off - tugged at the viewers' heartstrings. The trauma of losing their beloved ones, their camaraderie even amidst the catastrophe, and their optimism and sense of justice unscarred by the selfish adults invoke emotions.
