Kim Hong Pa is joining the upcoming Disney+ drama "Veteran Detective."
On June 8th Kim Hong Pa's agency Noah Entertainment confirmed the reports and stated that the actor will be joining the series.
"Veteran Detective" is the new work of director Han Dong Hwa ("Navillera," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," and "38 Task Force").
Kim Hong Pa joins he main leads such as Lee Sung Min, Jin Goo, Kyung Soo Jin, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Min Jae, Jang Sung Bum, and more.
"Veteran Detective" will tell the story of a detective who is bound to retire soon. Before he retires, he will get involved with a mysterious man who knows all about him and what he's hiding and follows his track record.
Kim Hong Pa will play the role of Seo Kwang Soo, the chief at the Geumo Police Station. He is also the schoolmate of Lee Sung Min's character named Taek Rok.
This will be the fourth project by Kim Hong Pa and director Han Dong Hwa. The two worked together on he dramas "Miss Lee," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," and "38 Task Force."
"Veteran Detective" will reportedly air within the year.
Kim Hong Pa last starred in the 2021 Coupang Play original series "One Ordinary Day." He worked alongside Kim Soo Hyun, Cha Seung Won, Kim Sung Gyu, Kim Shin Rok, and Lee Seol.
For this year, the actor starred in the movie "I Want to Know Your Parents" with Sol Kyung Gu, Chun Woo Hee, Moon So Ri, Oh Dal Soo, and Ko Chang Seok.
Kim Hong Pa is known for being part of the dramas "Black Dog," "Miss Lee," "Chief of Staff," "Special Labor Inspector Jo," "Voice 2," "Dr. Romantic," "38 Task Force," and more.
