Kim Min Seok and Lee Hyun Wook will be returning to the upcoming TVING drama "Shark: The Storm."
On June 28th it was officially confirmed that Kim Min Seok and Lee Hyun Wook will be returning to the second season titled "Shark: The Storm." The first season "Shark: The Beginning" was made into a TVING original movie. The second season titled "Shark: The Storm" will be released as a drama version and will air in the first half of 2023.
"Shark: The Storm" will continue the story from "Shark: The Beginning" movie and it will have six episodes. It will continue to tell the story of Cha Woo Sol, a victim of school violence, who got imprisoned, and eventually became a world mixed martial arts champion. The story adapted its story from a popular Kakao webtoon of the same name.
The series will be directed by Kim Gun and the script will be penned by Min Ji. It will be produced by SLL, Co., Ltd.
Kim Min Seok will continue to play the character named Cha Woo Sol. In the new season, Kim Min Seok will showcase a higher level of growth and will also reveal the reality behind being branded as an ex-convict.
Lee Hyun Wook will continue to portray the character named Hyun Woo Yong. In the first season, his character only made a special appearance. He is a gangster boss and will be the new villain in the second season.
"Shark: The Storm" will begin filming this July and the series will premiere on TVING in the first half of next year.
Before Kim Min Seok returns to "Shark: The Storm," the actor will first lead the upcoming drama "Bloody Romance" with Nam Gyu Ri, Choi Hye Jin, Song Jae Rim, Steven Noh, and Jung Jin Woo.
Lee Hyun Wook is also set to star in several dramas such as "Remarriage and Desires" and "Song of the Bandits." He was also part of this year's movie "The Policeman's Lineage" with Jo Jin Woong, Choi Woo Shik, Park Hee Soon, Kwon Yool, and Park Myung Hoon.
