Kim Min Seok and rookie actress Im Hyun Joo will work together for an upcoming original KakaoTV drama.
Kakao Entertainment shared on June 21st, that Kim Min Seok and Im Hyun Joo will be the main leads for the upcoming drama titled "Engine on From Today." The drama will be out on June 29th at 8 PM KST and will exclusively air every Tuesday on KakaoTV.
"Engine on From Today" will be a 4-episode drama that will showcase the story of a car mechanic who gets to know more about people through cars.
Kim Min Seok will play the role of Tae Hyun. He has a natural talent for auto mechanics and cars. Meanwhile, Im Hyun Joo will play the role of Noh Yu Hwa, a pure young lady who's inexperienced in love. She's the manager of the auto service center.
Actor Kim Min Seok shared that he got took classes about auto mechanics from the experts for this drama.
"Engine on From Today" will be Kim Min Seok's second drama from KakaoTV. He last starred in the 2020 KakaoTV drama "Lovestruck in the City" with Ji Chang Wook, Kim Ji Won, So Ju Yeon, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Han Ji Eun. The actor was also part of the dramas such as "Because This Is My First Life," "Age of Youth 2," "Defendant," "Doctors," "Descendants of the Sun," and more.
Im Hyun Joo became popular after appearing in the show "Heart Signal 2" in 2018. She signed as an actress in Huayi Brothers Entertainment and made her acting debut in 2019 with "Wish Woosh 2." "Engine on From Today" will be her first-ever main lead role.
