Kim Min Seok will return as the lead of the upcoming TVING drama "Shark Season 2." The first season "Shark: The Beginning" was in movie format.
On May 12th, it was reported that Kim Min Seok will be the main lead once again in the drama version "Shark Season 2." Wi Ha Joon will also return to the second season but this time as a cameo. It was also reported that the drama will begin filming in July.
The TVING original series "Shark Season 2" will revolve around the story of Cha Woo Sol, a victim of school violence. The series will base its story on the webtoon of the same name by Woon and illustrated by Kim Woo Sub.
The webtoon version that was on the Kakao Page platform garnered over 1 million sales. The webtoon also became popular in different countries such as Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Kim Min Seok will play the role of Cha Woo Sol. According to reports, other actors will also return to the drama version.
Wi Ha Joon will make a special appearance in the drama version as Jung Do Hyun, a mixed martial arts champion that became the teacher of Cha Woo Sol.
In "Shark: The Beginning," the movie was led by Kim Min Seok, Wi Ha Joon, Jung Won Chang, Lee Jae Kyoon, Bae Myung Jin, and Lee Jung Hyun.
"Shark Season 2" will begin filming in July and it will exclusively air on TVING.
"Shark Season 2" will be the second upcoming drama of Kim Min Seok. He will also lead the upcoming series "Bloody Romance" with Nam Gyu Ri, Choi Hye Jin, Song Jae Rim, Steven Noh, and Jung Jin Woo.
Meanwhile, Wi Ha Joon is set to star in several upcoming dramas such as "Little Women," "K Project," "The Worst Evil," and "Que Sera, Sera."
