Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are confirmed to act as a married couple in the upcoming romance drama "Queen of Tears."
On December 5th, it was officially confirmed that Kim Ji Won will be joining hands with Kim Soo Hyun in a new drama by "Crash Landing on You," "The Legend of the Blue Sea," "Swing Kids," and "My Love from the Star" writer, Park Ji Eun and "Vincenzo" director, Kim Hee Won.
Kim Soo Hyun was the first to get confirmed to star in the drama and on December 5th, it was officially announced that Kim Ji Won has decided to also join.
"Queen of Tears" will showcase the journey of a married couple as they deal with struggles and crises and still decided to stay together despite all these trials.
Kim Soo Hyun will play the role of Baek Hyun Woo, the pride of Yonduri Village, and also the legal director of Queens Group. Kim Ji Won on the other hand will play the role of Hong Hae In, she is the third generation conglomerate of the Queens Group. The two will play as a married couple who will do their best to stay together against all odds.
"Queen of Tears" will begin filming in the first half of 2023.
This drama will be the comeback of Kim Soo Hyun to the romance genre. This will also be his next series after the Coupang Play original series "One Ordinary Day." In 2022, Kim Soo Hyun rested and didn't appear in any works.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won is one of the most talked about actresses this year because of her hit drama "My Liberation Notes." Many liked her partnership with actor Son Seok Koo in the series. This series will also be the first k-drama of Kim Ji Won after moving agencies. This is her first project with High Zium Studio.
