Kwon Sang Woo, Sung Dong Il, and Im Se Mi will be the main leads of the upcoming Wavve drama "Critical X."
On May 4th it was officially confirmed that Kwon Sang Woo and Sung Dong Il will be reuniting in another project. Im Se Mi will join them and the three will be the lead for the upcoming comedy series "Critical X."
"Critical X" will base its story on the essay "I'm An Old Man, It Hurts". It will tell the story of the crisis every generation experiences in this present era. The drama will revolve around a middle-aged man from a prestigious university and a conglomerate who are both facing life crises.
Kwon Sang Woo will play the role of Mr. A, he has a warm and pretentious personality. He is currently struggling with the stock market crash, soaring housing prices, and his urge for resignation.
Sung Dong Il on the other hand will play the role of Heo Jun, a doctor at a local hospital.
Im Se Mi will play the role of Mr. A's wife. She dreams of becoming a hit web novel writer.
"Critical X" will be the latest work of director Kim Jung Hoon. The script will be written by Kwak Kyung Yoon ("Love Revolution" and "SNL Korea").
This series will be the reunion of Kwon Sang Woo, Sung Dong Il, and director Kim Jung Hoon. The three worked together for "The Accidental Detective."
"Critical X" will exclusively air on the OTT platform, Wavve.
This will be the first drama of Kwon Sang Woo in two years. He last starred in the 2020 series "Delayed Justice." He will also join the upcoming films "We Grow Up," "The Christmas Gift," and "Jibi Jibi."
Meanwhile, this will be one of the upcoming dramas of Sung Dong Il. The veteran actor will also join the upcoming series "Tell Me Your Wish," "Curtain Call," and "Late Night Photo Studio." Early this year, the actor participated in the drama "Ghost Doctor."
This will also be the comeback of Im Se Mi in dramas. She last starred in the 2020 series "True Beauty." She will also join the cast of upcoming dramas "Duty After School" and "The Empire of Law."
