Ahead of Concrete Utopia's release, new character posters and a teaser have been released, featuring the leads and supporting cast of the movie.
Concrete Utopia is a gripping disaster drama that tells the story of survivors who have gathered in the Hwang Goong Apartment, the only remaining building in Seoul, after a massive earthquake leaves the city in ruins.
The first character poster features Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun), the representative of the apartment. The text on his poster reads, "I think that this apartment was chosen".
The posters of Min Sung (Park Seo Joon), who protects his family, and Myung Hwa (Park Bo Young), who adamantly holds onto her faith, raise anticipation. The texts, "It's all over if we get kicked out of here", expressed by Min Sung, and "Isn't finding a way to live together the priority?" by Myung Hwa, add to the anticipation surrounding the struggles that the characters will face in the aftermath of the disaster.
The posters also introduce Geum Ae (Kim Sun Young), with the text, "Those who enter this complex are our residents only", and Hye Won (Park Ji Hoo), intrigues viewers with her remark, "Everyone seems strangely hopeful". Lastly, Do Kyun (Kim Do Yoon) piques interest with his unique look, and the text on his poster reads, "Having a conscience is a problem, not having one is also a problem".
The teaser delves into the complexities of the characters, including the temporary residents' leader Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun); Min Sung, (Park Seo Joon), who tries to protect his family; the steadfast nurse and Min Sung's wife Myung Hwa (Park Bo Young); the head of the women's association of the apartment Geum Ae (Kim Sun Young), the outsider Hye Won (Park Ji Hoo), and the uncooperative resident Do Kyun (Kim Do Yoon).
Young Tak earns the residents' trust with his invincible spirit and takes on the role of temporary representative. Meanwhile, Min Sung undergoes noticeable changes amidst the rapidly changing situation, arousing curiosity. Myung Hwa resolutely expresses her convictions even in the face of extreme crises.
Moreover, Geum Ae, who takes a calculated approach while working for the residents' benefit, Hye Won, sensing a strange atmosphere among the residents, and Do Kyun, who instigates conflicts, add to the fun and excitement surrounding the circumstances in the apartment.
