Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon's new K-drama A Shop for Killers will officially begin airing next year.
On December 14, the poster for the upcoming K-drama A Shop for Killers was released. Through the poster, it was officially confirmed that the series will premiere on January 17, 2024, and it will exclusively air on the global OTT platform Disney+.
A Shop for Killers will base its story on the novel of the same name by Kang Ji Young. The K-drama will showcase how the nephew becomes the target of killers after his uncle allegedly took his own life. The nephew will be forced to remember the training her uncle gave her to survive.
In the released poster, instead of the usual things in a shopping cart, guns, axes, gas masks, and other toxic substances that are dangerous are inside the cart portraying the title "A Shop for Killers."
A Shop for Killers will be the collaboration work of director Lee Kwon (Shut Up: Flower Boy Band) and writer Ji Ho Jin (When Time Stopped).
The upcoming K-drama will have a total of 8 episodes.
Lee Dong Wook will portray the role of Uncle Jeong Jin Man. He runs a suspicious shipping mall and he is the one who takes care of his orphaned nephew. This will be the first K-drama of Lee Dong Wook for next year. The actor will also lead the SBS K-drama The Good Man with Lee Sung Kyung.
Kim Hye Joon will portray the role of Jeong Ji An. She lost her parents at a young age and has been taken care of by his mysterious uncle. Meanwhile, this will be the official comeback of Kim Hye Joon to K-dramas after two years. She will also join the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Cashero.
Other casts of the upcoming K-drama include Seo Hyun Woo, Park Ji Bin, Kim Hae Na, Ahn Se Bin, and more.
