The upcoming film Killing Romance will officially hit theaters next month.
On March 15, it was officially confirmed that the upcoming comedy-thriller film Killing Romance will premiere in Korean theatres on April 14.
The upcoming movie will be led by Lee Ha Nee, Gong Myung, Lee Sun Kyun, Bae Yoo Ram, Shim Dal Gi, and Oh Jung Se.
Killing Romance will tell the story of Hwang Yeo Rae, a top celebrity who shocked everyone and announced that she will be retiring from the industry. After she retires, she falls in love with an island conglomerate named Jonathan. She will then meet a 3-time-test-taker who is also a fan and they will work together to make a comeback.
The upcoming movie will be helmed by director Lee Won Suk who also worked on the films The Royal Tailor, How to Use Guys with Secret Tips, and the upcoming K-drama Queen of the Scene.
Lee Ha Nee will play the role of Hwang Yeo Rae, a top celebrity that became a public embarrassment because of her bad acting. Because of the criticisms she received, she decided to retire and move to a South Pacific island. Her life will eventually change after meeting Jonathan.
Director Lee Won Suk shared his thoughts about the upcoming movie. He stated, "The keyword for the upcoming movie Killing Romance is beauty. I believe that Lee Ha Nee is the best fit because she has beauty and acting skills."
Earlier this year, Lee Ha Nee starred in the movie Phantom with Sol Kyung Gu, Park So Dam, Park Hae Soo, Seo Hyun Woo, and Kim Dong Hee.
She is also returning to the K-drama scene with the new series Flowers that Bloom at Night, Klaus 47, and the reported The Fiery Priest Season 2.
