Lee Jung Eun and Kim Dong Hwi will possibly be part of the second season "Missing: The Other Side 2."
On June 23rd media outlet OSEN shared that Lee Jung Eun and Kim Dong Hwi will be added to the cast of the upcoming drama "Missing: The Other Side 2." They will play as new characters in the second installment of "Missing: The Other Side."
"Missing: The Other Side 2" will continue the events that happened in the first season. The first season revolved around the search to find missing bodies and unraveling the truth behind the disappearances in a village.
Just like in the first season, Min Yeon Hong will be the director of the series, and writers Ban Ki Ri and Jung So Young will be responsible for the script. The drama will be produced by Studio Dragon and Mace Entertainment.
Lee Jung Eun got the offer to play the role of Kang Eun Sil, a woman who has lived in the 3rd Industrial Complex for 30 years. She is known as Captain Kang who has a mysterious past.
Kim Dong Hwi on the other hand will play the role of Oh Il Yong. He was from a poor family. He lost his father at an early age while his mother was hospitalized due to illness after trying to make a living.
The first season "Missing: The Other Side" was a success as it achieved the highest viewership rating of 4.8 percent. It was one of the most popular OCN original works. It was led by Go Soo, Heo Joon Ho, Ahn So Hee, and Ha Joon. They will also return to the second season.
"Missing: The Other Side 2" is currently in discussion to air on tvN on their Friday and Saturday drama timeslot. The series is set to premiere in the second half of 2022.
Lee Jung Eun recently starred in the hit tvN drama "Our Blues." She will also join the upcoming series "Morning Comes to the Mental Ward."
Meanwhile, this will be the second drama of Kim Dong Hwi since his debut. He first starred in the hit drama "Stranger 2" with Jo Seung Woo, Bae Doo Na, Jeon Hye Jin, Choi Moo Sung, and Lee Joon Hyuk. He will also be included in the upcoming movie "A Christmas Carol."
