On July 9, media outlets reported that Lee Kwang Soo would join Lee Dong Wook in the upcoming Divorce Insurance K-drama.
Lee Kwang Soo's agency shared their official stance regarding the circulating casting reports. According to King Kong by Starship, the actor is positively considering the offer to star in the new tvN K-drama.
If Lee Kwang Soo decides to join, this will be his first time to work with Lee Dong Wook in a K-drama. The two have worked numerous times before on variety shows.
Divorce Insurance will possibly be the third upcoming K-drama of Lee Kwang Soo. This July, the actor is set to return to the small screen with the upcoming Disney+ K-drama No Way Out: The Roulette with Jo Jin Woong, Yoo Jae Myung, Yeom Jung Ah, Kim Mu Yeol, and Greg Hsu.
Lee Kwang Soo will also star in the upcoming series Karma and will work alongside Park Hae Soo, Shin Min Ah, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Sung Kyun, and Gong Seung Yeon.
The actor was last seen in the 2022 K-drama The Killer's Shopping List.
Divorce Insurance will revolve around a product development team filled with genius employees who will create a new divorce insurance product.
According to reports, Lee Kwang Soo got the offer to portray the role of a divorced man named Ahn Jung Man. He is also the elementary school classmate and colleague of Lee Dong Wook's character Noh Ki Joon in the product development team.
Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Dong Wook will possibly join hands with director Lee Won Suk in the upcoming K-drama. He is known as the man behind the films Killing Romance, The Royal Tailor, and How to Use Guys with Secret Tips. Writer Lee Jae Yoon (Secret Royal Inspector & Joy) will pen the script for the upcoming K-drama.
Divorce Insurance will reportedly air in the first half of 2025.
