Lee Min Ki, Lee Bo Young, and Kang Ki Young will reportedly be the main leads of a new K-drama created by director Park Joon Woo.
On August 9, media outlets reported that the upcoming K-drama Mary Kills People (tentative title) will be led by Lee Min Ki, Lee Bo Young, and Kang Ki Young. It was also revealed that director Park Joon Woo who is known for creating the hit K-dramas Crash and Taxi Driver will work on the new series.
Mary Kills People tells the story of a plastic surgeon who illegally helps terminally ill patients with euthanasia. The story will be depicted from the popular 2017 Canadian series of the same name.
According to reports, the production of Mary Kills People will kick off as soon as the casting is complete.
There is no official confirmation yet on the broadcast channel as well as the premiere date of Mary Kills People.
Lee Min Ki got the offer to portray the role of a detective who's chasing the plastic surgeon because of her illegal activities. This will possibly be the reunion work of Lee Min Ki and director Park Joon Woo. The two worked together this year with the series Crash. The actor is also set to star in the upcoming K-drama Look at Me.
Lee Bo Young will possibly portray the role of the plastic surgeon doctor who illegally helps terminally ill patients with euthanasia. if Lee Bo Young confirms her casting, this will be her follow up project after the 2024 K-drama Hide.
Meanwhile, Kang Ki Young will reportedly play as the fellow doctor of the plastic surgeon and will help with euthanasia. This is one of the possible upcoming works of the actor. Many are also expecting that Kang Ki Young will return to the new season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
