The movie The Roundup: No Way Out (helmed by Lee Sang Yong) has scheduled its premiere on May 31, 2023. Along with the date confirmation, a teaser poster and trailer have also been unveiled.
The Roundup: No Way Out depicts the thrilling crime-busting operation of the unbeatable monster detective Ma Suk Do (Ma Dong Seok), who moves to Seoul's Gwangsu Avenue to capture the mastermind behind a new drug crime case. The movie features Joo Sung Cheol (Lee Joon Hyuk) and Ricky (Aoki Munetaka) as criminals who will meet their match in the monster detective.
Following the box office success of The Roundup, released amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming sequel is raising expectations for epic action scenes and a well-crafted plot.
The teaser poster released alongside the announcement of the release date showcases Ma Suk Do exchanging blows in an intense fight sequence giving a blistering display of thrilling hand-to-hand combat, thereby, raising anticipation for many more to expect. With the catchline "sweep it all away," the poster promises to provide catharsis and give the audience an exhilarating experience.
The teaser trailer portrays Ma Dong Seok flaunting his agility and charisma. The monster detective will stand toe to toe with Joo Sung Cheol (Lee Joon Hyuk) and Ricky (Aoki Munetaka). Joo Sung Cheol is a third-generation criminal involved in a drug cartel. The trailer gives a glimpse of his diabolical personality when he mercilessly grabs the person in front of him by his face and asks, "Did the police take the drugs?". Whereas the villain Ricky (Aoki Munetaka) is yet to make his appearance.
