According to reports, Ma Dong Seok will be leading a new fantasy action K-drama that will air in 2024.
On August 25th, media outlets shared that Ma Dong Seok will be returning to the small screen with the upcoming K-drama titled Twelve.
A representative from Ma Dong Seok's side responded to the casting reports. According to Big Punch Entertainment, "Ma Dong Seok did receive the offer and he is positively considering starring in Twelve."
If Ma Dong Seok officially decides to join, this will be his grand comeback to K-dramas after eight years. He last starred in the 2016 K-drama 38 Task Force together with Seo In Guk, Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young, Song Ok Sook, Heo Jae Ho, and Go Gyu Pil.
Ma Dong Seok is also in talks to lead the upcoming Hulu K-drama Hive directed by Kwak Kyung Taek and Lee Khan.
The top actor is currently busy with the Hollywood action film Hell Divers wherein he will be the producer and also part of the cast. He will also lead the upcoming movies Holy Night: Demon Hunters, The Roundup: Punishment, Along With the Gods 3, and The Wilderness.
Ma Dong Seok has starred in various K-dramas such as Bad Guys, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, Dr. Champ, Tazza, H.I.T, and more.
The upcoming K-drama Twelve will revolve around heroes who are protecting the Korean peninsula from evil spirits. The production of the series is officially confirmed and they are finalizing its casts.
Ma Dong Seok received the offer to play the role named Tae San. He is the leader of the heroes in the upcoming K-drama. Other casts of the K-drama will be announced in the coming days.
Twelve will premiere at the end of 2024.
