Byeon Woo Seok's agency to take legal action against malicious commenters
The upcoming martial-arts-themed C-drama Go to the Mountains and Sea, led by Cheng Yi, has completed filming and released a wrap-up special.
The official Weibo post reads, "Starting in the vibrant spring, ending in the crisp autumn — 135 days to create a unique martial arts world. Crafted with dedication, enduring like mountains and seas. Go to the Mountains and Sea looks forward to meeting everyone soon."
The C-drama tells the story of Xiao Ming Ming (Cheng Yi), a laid-back martial arts novel enthusiast. Through the perspective of the novel’s protagonist, Xiao Qiu Shui, he embarks on a journey in the martial arts world, transforming from a low-skilled, impulsive young swordsman into a noble hero committed to protecting his country and loved ones. Afterwards, Xiao Ming Ming continues to write in his spare time, conveying in his novels the belief that people come together because of righteousness.
Go to the Mountains and Sea is adapted from Wen Rui An's novel "Shen Zhou Qi Xia".
Xiao Ming Ming (Cheng Yi), a young man whose love for martial arts novels has been dulled by reality, accidentally enters the world of the book and, through the perspective of the protagonist Xiao Qiu Shui, journeys through the martial arts realm.
In the late Northern Song dynasty, with treacherous ministers in power and foreign invasions looming, Xiao Qiu Shui upholds justice and forges bonds with heroes across the land, embarking on a journey of loyalty to his country and family.
In that world, people face challenges directly, without hesitation or evasiveness, nor do they struggle under the weight of moral dilemmas. Xiao Qiu Shui himself evolves from a low-skilled, impulsive young swordsman to a noble hero who values loyalty and protects his homeland.
The martial arts world in Go to the Mountains and Sea is built on real cultural elements; it isn't pure fantasy but includes history in the details. This C-drama is co-directed by Ren Hai Tao and Lin Feng. Liu Fang penned the script.
Joining Cheng Yi in this series is Gulnezer Bextiyar, who plays Xiao Xue Yu in the series. In the teaser, she appears in a pink outfit, holding a flute. Even from a single scene, the audience can sense there’s more to this character than meets the eye.
Go to the Mountains and Sea also casts Xu Zhen Xuan, Liu Meng Rui, and Ding Xiao Ying in the lead roles.
