The long wait for the continuation of My Dearest is almost over!
On October 3, MBC announced that My Dearest Part 2 is officially premiering on October 13 at 9:50 PM KST. The second part will be included in the Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot of MBC.
My Dearest Part 2 will showcase the journey of Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae as they go back and forth between Josen and Qing after their heartbreaking separation.
The hit K-drama is led by Namkoong Min, Ahn Eun Jin, Lee Hak Joo, Lee Da In, Kim Seo An, and Lee Chung Ah.
The first part of the K-drama aired from August to September. The last episode garnered an average nationwide rating of 12.2%. Many got confused about the ending of the first part and MBC clarified that there will be a continuation of the story and it will premiere this October.
My Dearest Part 2 will still be the collaboration work of directors Kim Sung Yong, Lee Han Joon, and writer Hwang Jin Young.
Ahead of the broadcast of the second part, the production team shared, "The stories of the people who were taken to the Qing Dynasty after the Manchu invasion will surely be interesting. It will also reveal the intertwined fate of Jang Hyun and Gil Chae. Stories and relationships of the new characters who appeared in the second half of the first part will also be revealed."
My Dearest Part 2 will finally return on October 13 at 9:50 PM KST. It can be viewed through MBC and OTT platform, Viki.
The main leads of the K-drama also expressed their thoughts about My Dearest Part 2.
Namkoong Min shared, "In the second part, it will surely be more fun. You will also witness a more beautiful love story than the first part. My mouth is itchy because I want to tell you guys quickly."
Ahn Eun Jin also shared, "After the broadcast of the first part, I am encouraged with all the love and support I have received. I am working hard on filming. We will return with a deeper and fun story in Part 2."
Aside from the anticipation of what will happen to Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae's love story, many are also curious about the role of Lee Chung Ha, the new addition to the K-drama.
