Netflix announced on September 27 that it had confirmed production of the thriller K-movie, Good News (working title).
Good News is set in the 1970s and centers around a suspicious operation of a group of people gathered to land a hijacked plane by any means necessary. Veteran actor Sul Kyung Gu, Hong Kyung (Revenant, Weak Hero Class 1), and Moving actor Ryu Seung Beom have been roped in to star as the leads. The K-movie will be directed by The Merciless director Byun Sung Hyun.
Sul Kyung Gu will take on the role of a problem solver who appears at critical moments to resolve situations, but whose identity remains unknown.
Hong Kyung will portray an Air Force lieutenant who is deployed for a secret operation.
Ryu Seung Beom will play the government official responsible for controlling the entire operation.
