Park Hye Soo's side has officially filed a complaint and lawsuit against the person who started the school violence allegations against the actress.
On October 9, Park Hye Soo's agency Ghost Studio announced that they had filed a complaint against the person who first spread that the actress is a perpetrator of school violence. They also sued the person for defamation, spreading false information, and for damages. According to the agency, the residence of the person is unknown that's why the delivery of the complaint was delayed for months.
They also clarified that they will do their best to release the truth and protect the rights and interests of their artists.
Because of the sudden announcement, the agency's statement attracted attention as it was a day before Park Hye Soo appeared in front of the press for her upcoming movie. There are speculations that Park Hye Soo and her agency are trying to block or minimize questions in advance regarding the issue at the press conference on October 10.
Park Hye Soo is set to meet the press two years after her alleged school violence issue occurred. The actress will be greeting the public after almost three years to promote her upcoming movie The Dream Songs with Kim Shi Eun.
The Dream Songs will officially premiere in Korean movie theaters on October 25, 2023.
In 2021, Park Hye Soo was accused of being a perpetrator of school violence. A post on an online community in 2021 gained attention stating that the actress is a school bully. At the time, her agency stated that the reports were groundless and announced that they would be taking legal action against the accusation. They also did not suspend any activities that Park Hye Soo will star in.
However, her KBS K-drama Dear.M was postponed to air. Up until today, the series has only been broadcast through an International platform.
