The disaster thriller Concrete Utopia has officially confirmed its release in August and has unveiled an appealing teaser poster and trailer.
Concrete Utopia is a gripping disaster drama that tells the story of survivors who have gathered in the Hwanggung Apartment, the only remaining building in Seoul after a massive earthquake leaves the city in ruins, to survive.
The film boasts a fresh and exciting collaboration between Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, and Park Bo Young.
Lee Byung Hun takes on the role of Young Tak, the new resident representative who fearlessly confronts all dangers to safeguard the apartment from external threats.
Park Seo Joon will be seen as Min Sung, who selflessly tries to protect the apartment and his family. Park Bo Young will play the role of Myung Hwa, Min Sung's wife and a nurse who upholds her unwavering determination even in the most extreme circumstances.
The teaser poster depicts a city in ruins, with only a single apartment standing tall. The text on the poster reads, "Everything crumbled except our apartment".
In addition to the poster, a trailer for the movie was also released. It commences with Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun) saying, "I felt like this apartment was chosen. I had a feeling like that". What follows are breathtaking scenes showing the earthquake throwing people into peril and its devastating aftereffects.
The trailer portrays the gripping tension between characters, and offers a glimpse into the residents' struggle for survival in the last standing apartment in the city reduced to ruins by a catastrophic earthquake.
Supported by talented actors Kim Sun Young, Park Ji Hoo, and Kim Do Yoon, Concrete Utopia boasts a robust and well-rounded cast who will bring the dynamic characters to life. Based on the webtoon Happy Boy by renowned author Kim Soong Nyoong, Concrete Utopia seamlessly combines realism with fiction.
