Park Sung Hoon and Kwak Dong Yeon are both in talks to join the upcoming K-drama Queen of Tears.
On February 23, it was reported that Park Sung Hoon and Kwak Dong Yeon will be joining Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won in the upcoming romance K-drama Queen of Tears.
Park Sung Hoon's agency BH Entertainment responded to the casting reports. According to the agency, Queen of Tears is one of the proposed works to the actor He is currently reviewing the offer.
Kwak Dong Yeon's agency H& Entertainment also shared their side. The agency revealed that Kwak Dong Yeon is also reviewing the K-drama.
If Park Sung Hoon confirms his casting, this will be his fifth upcoming K-drama. Next month, the actor will return to the second installment of The Glory Part 2. He will also star in the upcoming K-dramas The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, Strangers, and The Bequeathed.
Meanwhile, this will possibly be the first project of Kwak Dong Yeon for the year. Last year, the actor was seen in several K-dramas and one film. He was part of the series Gaus Electronics, Big Mouth, and Monstrous and the movie 6/45.
Queen of Tears will be the next work of director Kim Hee Won (Vincenzo) and writer Park Ji Eun (Crash Landing on You, The Legend of the Blue Sea, Swing Kids, and My Love from the Star).
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won. The two main leads were confirmed last December. Other casts of the K-drama include Kim Joo Ryoung, Na Young Hee, and Kim Jung Nan.
Queen of Tears will showcase the love story of a married couple who defies all odds to be together and overcome a crisis.
The upcoming K-drama will begin filming in the first half of 2023 and it is scheduled to premiere later this year.
