Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri in Talks to Join Kim Tae Ri in "Jeong Nyeon”

Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri are in discussion to join hands with Kim Tae Ri in the upcoming K-drama Jeong Nyeon.

On June 14, various media outlets shared that Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri will be added to the cast of the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Jeong Nyeon.

Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri's agency CJES Entertainment gave their official statement regarding the circulating casting news. According to them, "Both Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri got the offer to star in  Jeong Nyeon and they are positively considering it." 

If Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri confirm their appearance, they will be working with main leads Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, and Kim Hi Eo Ra. 

Jeong Nyeon will depict its story on the webtoon of the same name written by Seo Irae and illustrated by Namon. It will revolve around Jeong Nyeon who was born with no money nor education. The story will showcase her journey of reaching her dreams of becoming a big star and getting reach by entering a women's traditional theater company in the 1950s setting.

The K-drama will be helmed by director Jung Ji In (The Red Sleeve) and writer Choi Hyo Bi (A Time Called You and Babysitter).

Ra Mi Ran and Moon So Ri got the offer to play as members of the Women's National Theater Company. 

There is no official confirmation yet on the release date of Jeong Nyeon.

If Ra Mi Ran confirms her casting, this will be her third upcoming K-drama. The actress recently starred in the hit JTBC K-drama The Good Bad Mother with Lee Do Hyun, Ahn Eun Jin, Yoo In Soo, Choi Moo Sung, and Jung Woong In. 

Meanwhile, Moon So Ri is currently starring in the Disney+ original K-drama Race. She works alongside Lee Yun Hee, Hong Jong Hyun, TVXQ's U-Know, Kim Ye Eun, and Jun.Q. The actress will also star in the K-drama You Have Done Well.
