Ryeoun will reportedly lead the upcoming drama "Sparkling Watermelon."
On October 13th, media outlets reported that Ryeoun was chosen to lead the upcoming drama "Sparkling Watermelon" which will be written by Jin Soo Wan ("Chicago Typewriter" "Kill Me, Heal Me," and "Moon Embracing the Sun") and directed by Son Jung Hyun ("Mental Coach Jegal").
Ryeoun's agency Lucky Company responded to the casting reports and shared, "Our artist Ryeoun did receive the offer to lead the drama and he is currently reviewing it."
"Sparkling Watermelon" will tell the story of a boy living a double life between a model student and a band member who gets to time slip and meets his 18-year-old father. The two will build friendships there.
The upcoming series will premiere in 2023. The filming will begin after they finalize the cast members.
If Ryeoun confirms his casting, this will be his third upcoming drama. Before the year ends, he will star in the upcoming series "The Borrowed Body" with Nam Yoon Su andPark Hae Eun. He will also lead the upcoming historical romance drama "Flower Scholars' Love Story" with Shin Ye Eun, Kang Hoon, Jung Gun Joo, Hyun Woo, and Oh Man Suk.
In 2022, he was part of the drama "Through the Darkness" led by Kim Nam Gil, Jin Seon Kyu, Kim So Jin, Lee Dae Yeon, and Kim Won Hae. He played the supporting role named Jung Woo Joo, a Crime Behavior Analysis Team member.
Ryeoun made his acting debut in 2017 through the series "You're Too Much" and "Temperature of Love." He has starred in several dramas such as "Doo Teob's Pretty Easy School Life," "Doctor Prisoner," "365: Repeat the Year," "The World of My 17," "IN-SEOUL," "Homemade Love Story," "18 Again," and more.
