Ryu Hye Young is in discussion to star in the upcoming tvN K-drama Seocho-dong.
On November 15, media outlets stated that Ryu Hye Young would join Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young in the upcoming new law K-drama Seocho-dong.
Ryu Hye Young's agency, Starship Entertainment, shared its side through Top Star News. According to the agency, "Ryu Hye Young did receive the offer to star in the series Seocho-dong. The actress is currently reviewing the offer."
If Ryu Hye Young confirms her casting, this will be her return to the law genre. She also led the popular law K-drama Law School with Kim Myung Min, Kim Bum, Lee Jung Eun, Lee Soo Kyung, David Lee, and Go Youn Jung.
This will also possibly be the third upcoming K-drama of Ryu Hye Young. The actress will also join the cast of the upcoming series The Good Man and When the Day Breaks.
Ryu Hye Young is currently starring in the Disney+ K-drama Gangnam B-Side. She works alongside Jo Woo Jin, Ji Chang Wook, Ha Yoon Kyung, BIBI, Hyun Bong Sik, Oh Ye Ju, and more.
The actress will also star in the upcoming movie Killing Time.
Seocho-dong will revolve around the daily lives and experiences of associate lawyers working at Seocho Judicial Town.
Director Park Seung Woo (W, Adamas, Kairos, and more) and lawyer Lee Seung Hyun.
Lee Jong Suk will portray the role of An Ju Hyeong. He has been an associate lawyer for 9 years at Seocho Judicial Town. Mun Ka Young on the other hand will portray the role of Kang Hee Ji, a second-year lawyer at another firm.
Meanwhile, there are no reports yet on the character that was offered to Ryu Hye Young.
Seocho-dong will reportedly premiere in the first half of 2025. It will exclusively air on tvN.
