Lee Je Hoon is ready to star in the upcoming second season of "Taxi Driver."

On January 16, SBS released the first still cuts of the upcoming series "Taxi Driver Season 2." It was also revealed on the same day that the upcoming series will begin airing this coming February 17. 

"Taxi Driver Season 2" will continue the journey of the taxi company called Rainbow Taxi and taxi driver Kim Do Ki while taking revenge on behalf of unfair victims. The new season will still base its story on the webtoon of the same name by Carlos and Keukeu Jae Jin.

The second season will be led by Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, Bae Yoo Ram, and Shin Jae Ha

"Taxi Driver Season 2" will be the latest work of director Lee Dan and writer Oh Sang Ho ("Fabricated City").

In the released photos, Kim Do Ki is seen in a prison cell. Far from his looks in the first season, Kim Do Ki has grown his hair and gives off a different kind of aura. He is also shown preparing for his physical strength alone in the prison cell. 

The production team of the upcoming K-drama shared, "Lee Je Hoon is exerting all effort in every scene for his special affection to the series 'Taxi Driver.' From acting to its visuals, there is a great passion to showcase the full fun and quality that will surpass the first season. Please anticipate the upcoming new series filled with more action."

"Taxi Driver Season 2" will premiere on February 17 and it will exclusively air on SBS. The upcoming series will be part of the Friday and Saturday drama timeslot of the broadcast channel. 

The first season of "Taxi Driver" aired on April 2021. It was led by Lee Je Hoon, Esom, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Ji, Cha Ji Yeon, Bae Yoo Ram, and Jang Hyuk Jin. The series became a hot topic and garnered great reviews. It was also evident in the ratings with its consistent viewership. The first season also became the fourth-highest ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in SBS history. “The drama became fourth place after "The Penthouse 2: War in Life,” “The Fiery Priest,” and “Hot Stove League.”
