SF9's Rowoon will reportedly star in another historical K-drama titled Takryu (literal translation).
On June 28, media outlets reported that Rowoon has been picked as the main lead of the historical K-drama Takryu.
Rowoon's agency FNC Entertainment responded to the casting news. According to the agency, Takryu is one of the works that is currently being reviewed by Rowoon. He hasn't confirmed his appearance yet.
Takryu will tell the story of a man who was a gangster that will become a legend in Joseon. He was known as a gangster at Han River’s Mapo Port and eventually will become a Joseon legend because of his body and skills.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Chun Sung Il who is also known for helming the K-dramas All of Us Are Dead, L.U.C.A.: The Beginning, 7th Grade Civil Servant, The Fugitive: Plan B, The Slave Hunters, and more.
Currently, there are still no details on the broadcast date and channel of the upcoming historical K-drama Takryu. There is also no other information on the possible actors that will work alongside Rowoon in the upcoming series.
If Rowoon confirms his casting, this will be his second upcoming historical K-drama project. The idol actor is also set to lead the upcoming K-drama The Battle of Marriage with Jo Yi Hyun.
Rowoon will also star in the new K-drama Destined With You together with Jo Bo Ah, Ha Joon, Girls Day's Yura, Hyun Bong Sik, and Park Kyung Hye.
He is known for being part of the K-dramas Tomorrow, The King's Affection, She Would Never Know, Was It Love?, Extraordinary You, Where Stars Land, About Time, and more.
Aside from being an actor, Rowoon is also active as an SF9 member.
