Kim Bo Ra (SKY Castle, Like Flowers in Sand) investigates the truth of a murder case from 11 years ago objectively, free from biased views in Black Out.
Black Out tells the story of a young man, Go Jung Woo, who was branded as a culprit in a murder case, while the corpse was never found. After serving ten years in prison, he now seeks to uncover the truth of the case that turned his life upside down.
In the drama, Kim Bo Ra takes on the role of Ha Seol, an outsider who comes to Mucheon City. Ha Seol, who took a leave of absence from medical school and traveled nationwide on a scooter, was drawn to the peaceful village of Mucheon City and settled down there. She is skilled with her hands and has a good sense of humor. Ha Seol works part-time at Mucheon Garden, a restaurant where Go Jung Woo's (Byun Yo Han) mother works, blending naturally with the locals.
In this setting, when Jung Woo, who was imprisoned for murder, returns to the village, Ha Seol feels a subtle change in the village atmosphere and begins to wonder about the past that everyone has kept silent about. She constantly questions the case, including the missing body and the motive for the crime, as well as the villagers who try to conceal them, piquing curiosity about whether she can uncover the secret of Mucheon City.
The stills give a glimpse of her exploring Mucheon.
After having spent an ordinary and quiet day, as night falls, Ha Seol begins to investigate the truth hidden by the villagers alone. Being an outsider with no connections to the village, she untangles the tangled threads from an objective standpoint, aiming to uncover the truth of the case from 11 years ago that everyone was about to forget.
Black Out will premiere on August 16. There is currently no news about the K-drama's global OTT service.
